Towards a better world

flowers

At the moment in europe we are using the equivalent of three earth-sized planets to keep us going, while half of our beautiful planet's population starves.

Even here, in the rich countries, distribution of resources is unequal, leading to increased crime and social unrest, bigger health bills and a reduced quality of life.

There is a better way

-- To use what we have more effectively and behave with care.

Cyberium supports sustainable development and most of our work is to this aim.

We have a vast reservoir of information and resources on the subject, and our writers are available to produce reports, news feeds, analysis, calculators, web sites, books and more on most aspects of sustainable development.

Our experience

Examples of our work are available in our 'Insights' section, and at the Low Carbon Kid blog site. We add new articles regularly - keep coming back.

We can provide assistance to any organisation and company which wants to green up its act, including marketing. Ask us for an initial consultation.

A new way of seeing

Sustainability is not a subject separate from all others. It's a pair of spectacles you put on - and when you do you see the world through 'green' tints.

This is another way of saying that every single aspect of our lives can be handled in a way consistent with sustainable development - or not.

So what can businesses and organisations do?

  • provide social and environmental audits as a way of reaching competitive advantage

  • save money by cutting pollution, waste and energy use, and by switching to renewable electricity

  • encourage employees to travel to work by less polluting means

  • go 'carbon neutral'

  • make a real difference by sourcing resources and products from sustainable and local sources and Fair Trade suppliers

  • treat their employees and stakeholders fairly and equitably

  • improve the wellbeing of their community

  • all of this - and still make a profit.

It's not just about a 'feel-good' factor. There are thousands of examples by now of how this type of behaviour can generate jobs and income.
